Winter has a way of slowing things down. It's the perfect time of year to warm up over a cup of tea, and this limied-edition experience for Valentine's week is going to be extra special. 

This special Valentine’s Afternoon Tea will be offered Monday, February 9 through Sunday, February 15, 2026. Designed to celebrate love in all its forms, this seasonal tea leans into winter romance with thoughtful details and indulgent flavors that defines afternoon tea at LondonHouse.  

A Seasonal Twist on a LondonHouse Tradition

Afternoon Tea at LondonHouse is always special, but this limited-time tower is really stunning. Think richer flavors, playful heart-shaped details, and a menu that feels both celebratory and comforting. Afternoon Tea is served daily in our lobby setting overlooking the Chicago River.

Savory Bites, Elevated

Our Valentine’s Tea opens with freshly baked Classic Cream and Red Velvet Scones, served with forest berry preserves, lemon curd, and clotted cream. Next, comes the three-tiered tower of savory and sweet bites.

Savory highlights include a Sushi Crepe layered with beet-cured salmon, cream cheese, and everything spice, alongside a classic Sausage Roll wrapped in puff pastry with housemade mustard. Seasonal touches like Pear Crostini with Little Boy Blue, Peking Duck Spring Rolls, and a Vegan Crab Cake made with lion’s mane mushrooms round out a tier that feels hearty enough for winter, yet refined enough for tea service.  

Lastly, a few more sweet bites. Get ready for Heart-Shaped Macarons in raspberry and vanilla bean, a Chocolate Lava Tart with a molten center, and a layered Triple Vanilla Cake featuring Madagascar, Mexican, and Tahitian vanilla. A Raspberry Crunch Donut and Strawberry Cheesecake Popsicle add playful contrast, proving that afternoon tea doesn’t have to take itself too seriously to feel special.

Tea, Thoughtfully Curated

Guests may choose from Rare Tea Cellar selections spanning black, green, and herbal blends. Winter-appropriate standouts include Wild Berry Noir, Canadian Ice Wine Elixir, and the floral-forward Sakura Cherry Blossom. For those seeking something caffeine-free, blends like French Kissed Moroccan Mint and Tropical Spiced Clementine feel especially at home this time of year.

Optional champagne, sparkling, wine, and spirit-free pairings are also available for those who believe Valentine’s Week deserves a little extra sparkle.
