Juan Leyva Honored with 2024 Tourism Champion Award by Choose Chicago

Recognition highlights his ongoing leadership in hospitality and commitment to the city of Chicago

LondonHouse Chicago is proud to share that our General Manager, Juan Leyva, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Tourism Champion Award by Choose Chicago. Presented at the organization’s annual meeting, this recognition honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of Chicago’s tourism industry.

Since its inception in 2011, the Tourism Champion Award has celebrated visionary leaders whose efforts have significantly shaped the city’s visitor experience. Juan joins an esteemed group of past recipients, including Sherman “Dilla” Thomas, Joe Flamm, Lori Healey, and Tom Ricketts.

Juan Leyva currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC, while also leading LondonHouse Chicago as General Manager. In addition, he plays a key role as Board Chair of the Choose Chicago Foundation, where he helps drive initiatives that foster growth, inclusion, and innovation across the city’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

Throughout his career, Juan has remained deeply committed to mentoring future leaders, supporting community development, and elevating the standards of service and excellence within the hotel industry. His leadership at LondonHouse, and throughout the Oxford Hotels & Resorts portfolio, continues to set the tone for a guest experience rooted in warmth, professionalism, and world-class hospitality.
